Automation consulting that removes the work before it automates it.
RPA, intelligent automation and AI agents for mid-market operations: accounts payable, order entry, patient intake, collections and the back office. Boldr AI redesigns the process, builds the automation, and the team that built it stays to run it, in your business hours.
What we automate
The processes below are where mid-market companies lose the most hours to manual work, and where an automation pays for itself fastest once the exceptions are under control.
Accounts payable and shared services
Invoice capture, three-way matching, coding, approvals and vendor queries. The exception rate decides the payoff, so we cut invoice variants before the bot touches them.
Order entry and the customer service desk
Orders that arrive by email, fax and portal; item files, contract pricing and cut-offs; the status calls that follow. Automation handles the routine path and a person keeps every pricing and credit exception.
Patient intake and access centers
Registration data, eligibility checks, referral and refill status. Fixing capture at the front desk removes the calls and the denials that a voicebot would only answer faster.
Collections and member contact centers
Contact sequences the automation runs, exception gates a person clears, and supervision with human escalation. Containment is decided per intent, not per platform.
Dealer and distributor back offices
Vendor invoices across locations, warranty claims, title and registration paperwork, month-end close. One process at a time, with the metric owned after go-live.
How an engagement runs
Every process goes through the same sequence: Eliminate, Standardize, Improve, Automate, Robotize. Not every process goes through every stage; robotizing everything is not the goal. The order is what protects the return.
1. Value Discovery Sprint
A 2–4 week diagnosis and design engagement on one process: baseline, exception rates, API and data check, business case, and the first automation designed. When it helps you decide, an MVP or pilot. From US$7,500.
2. Fixed-price deployment
One workflow, scoped from the sprint, built with the tools your systems support and tested in a sandbox with your operators before it touches production.
3. Monthly operation
The team that built the workflow runs it: exception review, tuning when a system or a document format changes, and reporting on the metric the business case named.
RPA, intelligent automation or AI agents: which one
RPA
A scripted sequence of clicks and keystrokes. Right for stable screens and deterministic steps; wrong for anything that varies, because it stops on the first surprise.
Intelligent automation
RPA plus document reading, classification and rules. Handles the variation that lives in invoices, orders and forms. Most of what we deploy sits here.
AI agents
Software that decides the next step from context and calls systems on its own. Powerful for triage, routing and research steps; always deployed with checkpoints a person clears.
Humans
Judgment calls, hard conversations, anything with a legal or clinical weight. The design names these steps up front so the automation is built around them.
Published results
Six cases are published with sector, what was done and the number that moved. Three of them are automation work:
Supply chain: exception-handling cost down 40%
An agentic order-to-delivery layer over the ERP, TMS and WMS, with a person on every pricing and credit exception. Order processing speed went up 3x.
Operations: a 12-week transition cut to 3
A 75% cycle reduction and more than US$850K in value of time recovered, on one back-office process.
Customer operations: abandonment from 9% to 0%
Average handle time down 17% and more than US$1.1M in annual capacity recovered, on the same contact-center system.
Questions buyers ask before an automation project
What is the difference between RPA, intelligent automation and AI agents?
RPA scripts a fixed sequence of clicks and keystrokes; it is cheap and brittle, and it breaks when a screen changes. Intelligent automation adds document reading, classification and rules, so the flow handles variation instead of stopping on it. AI agents decide the next step from context and can call systems on their own, which is why they need checkpoints. Most mid-market processes need a mix, and the mix is decided per step, not per vendor.
How much does automation consulting cost with Boldr AI?
Cost follows proof. A Value Discovery Sprint comes first, from US$7,500 for one process; it ends with a baseline, a business case and the first automation designed. Deployment is then a fixed price scoped to that one workflow, and operation is a monthly engagement. You decide at each step with the previous step's numbers in hand.
Which automation tools do you work with?
The tools your systems already support. That has meant UiPath and Power Automate for desktop and legacy work, n8n and Make for API-level flows, and custom pipelines when the volume or the data justifies it. We do not resell licenses, so the recommendation is not tied to a partner margin.
Do you redesign the process or automate it as is?
We redesign first. Every engagement runs through Eliminate, Standardize, Improve, Automate and Robotize, in that order, and not every process goes through every stage. A step that can be removed is removed; a step with five variants is standardized to one before anything is automated. Automating a broken process only makes it fail faster.
Who runs the automation after go-live?
The team that built it. Boldr AI operates deployed workflows through a monthly cadence: exception review, tuning when a system or a document format changes, and reporting on the metric the business case named. The contract and the accountability stay with the US entity; the team works your business hours from the United States and Latin America.
Can you automate work inside our ERP, CRM or core banking system?
Usually yes, through APIs where they exist and through controlled interface automation where they do not. The diagnostic checks API access, data quality and exception rates before any build, because those three decide whether an automation pays off, not the tool.
The standing team that ships these workflows is the Intelligent Automation POD; the delivery model, with US contracting and nearshore teams in your business hours, is on the US + nearshore delivery page.
